Multiple Injury Animation Secures 95x Policy Payout!
Iconographics created a customized animation showing the severity of all the injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident. This animation led to a settlement of $4.75 Million on a $50,000 insurance policy.

Case Overview
Challenge
The challenge of this case was to clarify the organ damage, severity of complex fractures and bring a personal connection to the audience. Iconographics created an engaging multiple injury animation depicting all injuries sustained during the motorcycle accident. Our team worked very closely with all the emergency and hospital documentation of the injuries. We were able to build custom fractures based on the radiology imaging. By pulling the films into our animation for a direct side by side comparison, we were able to authenticate the fractures we created. We also used photo references to create a custom character that looks like their client. This helps drive the point across- that this case is affecting someone for the rest of their life.
Visual Strategy
Our visual strategy for this case was to fully and accurately explain the severity of these injuries. We were challenged with showing what a grade two liver laceration, pancreas laceration and multiple lung injuries look like. Instead of showing a black and white axial CT scan to someone with no medical background, we were able to create an accurate animation to show the injury within the body. We were challenged with building multiple bilateral rib fractures along with complex arm and leg fractures. We used the radiology imaging and reports to build these complex fractures accurately based on the data we were provided. In the final animation we were able to do a side-by-side comparison to authenticate the 3D recreation on our model. By creating a custom character that exactly matched the client's appearance, we helped build a personal connection to the client. We wanted the jury to know this is someone's pain and suffering, not only a list of injuries.

Results
Through our work, the audience was able to grasp the severity of the case and the extent of the injuries sustained in the accident. As a result, the insurance company awarded the client $4.75 million on a $50,000 policy. Without our animations, it would have been much harder for the audience to fully understand how profoundly this man's life has been changed forever.
