Case Overview
Challenge
This case presented significant challenges due to the complexity of the parties involved and the unique circumstances surrounding the crash. The incident did not occur on a standard, straight roadway but rather in an area where roadwork was actively underway. A construction vehicle occupied one lane of the two-lane road, leaving drivers to navigate the situation at their discretion. Despite having ample time to adjust to the conditions, the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed, which ultimately made him at fault for the collision.
Visual Strategy
Iconographics approached this case with a range of visuals designed to enhance the audience's understanding. We developed a point-of-view animation from the motorcyclist’s perspective, an orbital review of the crash, and an alternate scenario to explore other possibilities. Additionally, we integrated witness statements into the orbital recreation, creating a combined animation that brought their testimony to life, offering a deeper level of comprehension by presenting everything in a single video. To further support the case, we also designed a detailed map of the crash site, highlighting key landmarks identified by the attorneys as critical to the argument.
